Liberal Pride has been a part of significant battles for LGBT civil rights across all levels of government in Australia. In coordination with governments, our organisation works at the grassroots level to build and expand a more inclusive Liberal Party.

More recently, we have focused on influencing policies, such as advocating for the reduction of the waiting period for gay men to donate blood, aligning with changes in international standards and pushing for further policy reforms.

While we have achieved many political and policy victories, our work is far from over.

BASED ON OUR LIBERAL PRINCIPLES, WE SUPPORT:

• Limited government
• Freedom of the individual
• A strong national defence
• A foreign policy reflective of our Australian values
• Low taxes and less burdensome regulation
• Personal responsibility and protected individual liberty

Centralised around issue advocacy to Members of Parliament (MPs) and policy recommendations, Liberal Pride remains dedicated to promoting a more inclusive and equitable society, ensuring that the voices of LGBTQ+ Australians are heard and respected within the political landscape.
